This picture book is about Lillian's experience growing up in Eldoret, Kenya as a child.

It is 34 pages long and includes a brief glossary of common Kenyan words and objects. It also features a teacher's resource including conversation starters and activities at the end of the book.

Small Fires are a publishing company that co-create children's books with authors from around the world to showcase what it's like growing up in different countries. Each story encourages the reader to think outside their world!

The price of the book includes:
* A built-in donation (10% of revenue, 50% of profits) to support now-grown-up Lillian's work in Nairobi - helping girls who've been separated from their families find safe places to thrive again.
